My new lil guy/girl. Still unsexed. I need some care tips and pointers as I am a new owner of leopard geckos. Here are some pics.

Most are very poor quality but I have one good one =)

Well thats my cute new gecko =) I'm a little overall concerned with the size of its tail. In one of the pictures you can see it has a little shedding still coming off. It has been eating well. 5-6 crickets & 5 mealworms every 3 days. Could you give me your opinions & tips for my new baby =)

Very nice gecko
Try gut loading your mealies and crickets a little more
As the guy above me has stated the tail looks very thin other than that, kudos to you

the tail could be from lack of calcium/dehydration...atleast thats my best guess!

Yeah, dusting your feeders is a really good sorce of vitamins for your leo. Also you want to gutload your feeders. I use wax, meal, & super worms, I gutload them all with small slices of potatoes, carrots, apples, & cat food. I never use crickets because one of my friends had some leos who only ate crickets, nothing else, & those particular leos ended up with pin worms, not good. So, just as a precation, I never use crickets, also because my leo is not very fond of them anyways, which is a good thing cause I wouldn't buy them anyways. Also, every once in a while you need to clean out whatever it is that you keep you feeders in, I personally dont want to feed my leo food that has been in & posible eating it's own crap.

Another thing that might help is calcium with d3. I noticed from your set up pic.s that you have a red light, the d3 is the stuff that they would get from real sunlight or a normal heat light. The only leos that really need the red/blue lights are albino, regular lights can hurt their skin, but its ok to have a red/blue light for non-albino leos too.

And congrats on your new leo!! :)

Is your tank substrate sand and pebbles? Looks like it from the pictures. Anyway, I'd get rid of all of it - loose substrate can cause impaction and isn't worth the risk. Stick with tile, carpet, or paper towels.

Yeah the sand and pebbles are not good for your gecko your leo can become impacted with that good substrates are tile and papper towels and news papper or reptile carpet so I would get rid of the sand and the pebbles. :)
