So I just brought my first ever leopard gecko home from the pet store. Id guess hes fairly young. I was just wondering how soon i should try to feed him some crickets? since i brought him home he has just been hiding in the biggest hide i have in the tank. Also, is there anything special i should do today or in the next few days since hes new to this environment?
Any tips regarding introducing a leopard gecko to a new tank would be great.
Thanks in advance

I'd say "let him be" is the general idea for the first few days ... offer food, but don't fret if he doesn't eat.

Since your leo's going to be a bit boring for a little while :tongue3:, now's probably a good time to double-check your setup here. Size, temps, substrate, hides, etc. :)

I agree. Keep handling at a minimum while he adjusts to his new surroundings. I would try not to bother him for at least a week or so. Like STUTFL mentioned above, this is a great time to research and double-check your enclosure, supplementation, etc.

Congratulations on your new gecko!!!
