Here is our new gecko. Before her shed & after her shed.

What is she? She's way darker than my carrot tail.

shes a nice dark shtct (super hypo tang carrot tail)

+1

She may be just a hypo tang but that would be hard to tell. It depends on how many black spots are on her body. 10 or more it isnt a super hypo it would just be a hypo.

edit* just kidding shes a super hypo. just rechecked the pics

Developing spots?

Thank you for all your replies. (We had bought her while she was in shed, so we weren't sure how she'd come out. My bf liked her cuz she was dark.) Yeah her spots are mostly on her face.

This is my male below....
I do have a question though....my male is starting to get spots on his head. He used to not have any spots on his head...but now they are coming in in pairs. Is this normal? he is about 1 year old.

I've been told that he is a carrot tail...but is he a SHTCT also? He only has the one spot on his shoulder...but the rest of his body has no spots, except the tail.

Nice SHTCT for now, maybe in future sheds she may lose the spots on her head.

I'm not too concerned about her spots, just the ones that are developing on my male. I think he might get more spots. He never had any except for the one on his shoulder.
