New gecko

I got a new Leo today and since I put him in his tank he took like a minute to investigate half of the tank and since then he just hides outside behind his humid hide where you can't see him and hasn't moved since then. It's been a probably been like 10 hours since then. Why is he doing this?

He is nocturnal and not yet adjusted to its new environment. It takes time for any animal to become comfortable in their new home. Give him time and just leave him be.

They sleep during the day.

But I thought it was weird because he was awake the whole time? Well, at least the part that I saw.

If you were scared and in a new enclosure you'd be awake when a giant is starring at you.
