New Geckos almost here!

Our new geckos should be here Tuesday! I think I have everything. Gotta go today and get a power strip to plus everything in, but confused about the light. I have uth and I thought I needed a regular light on during the day for their day night cycle and heat. Do I or not getting conflicting info? Also just for looks going to get a background dessert scene.

The light is only necessary if a) your tank wont reach 90-95 degrees Fahrenheit with the heat pad alone, or b) your room or wherever you're keeping them doesn't get sunlight (curtains are always closed or no windows ir something like that.)

And cool about the background. It'll actually help them feel more secure in their new habitat

Sweet! No light. They are nocturnal reptiles, they will be much more active without the light. It can also stress them out to the point where they won't eat.
