Hey people.
I'm Blake.

I don't have any geckos yet... Just 2 dogs right now. My beardie died a few months ago... was kind of thinking of getting another one, but also wanted something different. I've got a 55gallon--48x18x20ish... I was wondering what kinds of geckos might go well in there. I was really wanting a pair of halmaheras... they're really cool, and I like how they're a bigger size.

I know their cages are typically like 30 or so inches tall or taller... but I was wondering with all the space in the 55 gallon, with enough branches and hides and humidity if it would be an alright enclosure...

and if not... what else would fit in there... I know leos would... but everyone has them... like beardies... wanted to be different, I guess.

Anyways, thanks for the help... I look forward to reading through some posts and looking at viv pictures (i love doing that to waste time ha).

good day, all

I have one beardie and only that one space in my house for an enclosure that big. If I could get another large reptile, rather than a gecko, I'd probably get a skink or a red ackie. If you want to go with geckos, consider a leachie.

Ah, I'd love a leachie... I keep putting little bits of money away for supplies and such... unsexed babies aren't crazy expensive. And they are really interesting reptiles.

Welcome! :D

I'm sorry about your loss... I have a beardie myself.

I'm not too sure what to recommend... but I'd research anything you're intersted in and go from there. As we can't really tell you what to get... only you will know :p
