1) Male Giant SHCT "Titan" He's a big boy, used to be my dad's, was a bit neglected and his toes show it. I took over on him when I saw that. He has a strange abcess or pimple on the right side of his head, you can see it in these pics. Not sure what it is, no signs of injury or pain. Very docile. Hoping he's got some Tremper Albino in there with his Tremper giant genes.

2) Female Hi-Yellow "Oryon" I've had her for more than 5 years, since hatchling size. Our cat busted through the top of her cage somehow a few years back and took her tail off, but she's got a big fat regen back there. She's a sweetie lol. She got her name because she's a pig when it's feeding time, non-stop hunter.
3) Female Patternless Eclipse "Luna" I got her recently from a local breeder. He didn't provide much history, but she's cream colored and has 1/2 snake eyes on both sides. I'm hoping she's got some Tremper genetics in there for the future (maybe she's an early APTOR project result?).

4) Female Tremer Giant Albino het RAPTOR "Smoothie" We got this girl yesterday at the New England reptile expo from a local breeding group (kamikaze gecko). She's 5 months old, and has amazing colors. The camera just doesn't capture it. I can't wait to see what she grows up like. My g/f named her...

5) Female SHTCTB "Wink" She also came home yesterday from the expo, I got a deal on her and the albino above. She's cute as anything, really nice colors. She was sold cheap because she has an old injury to her eyelid, very small, from an old shed problem, that is completely healed and is now cosmetic. I'm a sucker for the hard cases...

6) Female Blizzard (maybe midnight/banana, you tell me) "Ava" Came from the same breeder as Luna, not alot of history, is already a big girl, but looks to get bigger by the size of her head. Her color is like smoke grey, all tubercules are bright yellow. She's a little bit skittish, but we're working on that.

Home for all those who have passed quarantine (the two newbies are still waiting) 20gal long with all the amenities.

I eventually want to jump up to a 40gal breeder tank, and get two more females, preferably a SuperSnow and some form of Blazing Blizzard, if I don't make one myself over the next few generations. This is more or less hobby breeding. I have a hovabator, and I've had larger leo colonies successfully breed in the past, but this is just for fun (and an excuse for more geckos :p )

Opinions and observations welcome!

BTW- If the bulge on Titan's head is something that should be aseptically aspirated (drained), I am a registered nurse with the skills and access to the equipment to do it cleanly and painlessly. I just don't know exactly what it is he's got there, or if it will go away.

Thanks! :2thumbsup: Also, I noticed I didn't have the top on the terrarium in the pic. Rest assured it now has a locking sliding top, unlike to cheesy old one that cost Oryon her tail.

I gotta tell you Kristi, I'm eyeing that supersnow male you have who's het for tremper up for sale. I might have to set Titan up in a bachelor pad for a while, because that guy there looks like he'd make nice hatchlings with some of my girls.

Just an update....In the last 3 weeks since I got Titan from my dad, he's about doubled his weight. He's finally looking like a Giant and not a lanky leo.

Nice leos you have there, Also i looked twice but luna looks to be a Blizzard, not an patternless. Alot of times blizzards have eclipse or snake eye which luna does in your case

Could be, but she's really light colored. I've seen Blizzards traditionally look more like Ava. It would make sense, I was back where I got her today and I noticed quite a few more Blizzards there, they looked more like Ava, but that's all they had.

Yeah, I think you're right. She never did look right as a Murphy's Patternless, but I wasn't sure if there was other patty morphs out there. After looking at more pics on google, I'm going to have to agree. Looks like I have one very light and one very dark blizzard.

BTW Bayside- what morph is that in your sig? SSTA or SSBA?

I have to agree that luna looks like a Blizzard to me also and they are much more commonly seen w/ the black/snake eyes. Also I've had a gecko w/ an small abcess on her nose before, it was alittle redish & smaller then your gecko's, but I think it's the same thing, she's a Super Snow so maybe it showed up a little better on her, it looked like a pimple too. I took her in to the vet to have it drained after I noticed it pretty quick b/c of it being on the nose tip making it tough to breath & she didn't want to eat w/ it there. It's hard puss in there and they will make a tiny cut and drain it, if it's an abcess. That's why I suggest you should take him to the vet to have the abcess drained. If that's all it is, you should be able to get it done very inexpensive, I did. Even though you are a registered nurse I don't think you should do it or any other proceure your geckos could need done in the future. Because you said you don't know what he's got there or if it will go away. Just in case were wrong and it is something else or you mess up and hurt your gecko is why I suggest leaving it to the vet, even though it does look like a abcess to me, I can't be 100%. I don't think it's going away on it's own w/o being drained 1st. How long has he had it? Has it been getting bigger? Honestly what the vet did looked simple, but it's better to take them in to the professionals b/c I can tell you it always looks easier then it is. They just made a tiny cut w/ a razor and scooped the puss out (making sure they got it all 1st before leaving) & cleaned it out. They showed me how to keep it clean w/ a plunger they gave me & what to use to clean it (w/ iodine & H2O) out twice a day til it was gone and it healed up quickly. But you could make it worse if you tried to do it or who knows what unless your certified vet or trained then I wouldn't do it your self to be safe b/c you'd feel bad if you hurt your gecko. It's not worth it!

From the pics, it really looks like Luna is carrying eggs, but maybe I am seeing things.

Very nice geckos, glad to hear that Titan is gaining weight. Hope that he gets the abcess fixed without any problems!

I agree too, you are a registered nurse but not a registered vet. tech or herp. doc. I don't mean any offense, it's just that it very well could be something other than a bump that needs to be cut and drained. It's just safer to get a professional's opinion on it first; you could even call or e-mail them with a picture and possibly get some advice without needing an appointment.
