Hey all. I'm new here so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Kyla. I'm 21 and in my senior year of college as a criminal justice major. I do not have any geckos yet, but I do plan on getting a crested gecko or two very soon so I thought I'd pop in here and learn as much as I could before I got them, and continuing once I have them of course.

I have one question to start off with, where do those of you who have crested geckos get them from?

I personally don't keep crested geckos yet put I strongly suggest getting all reptiles from breeders, online or at expos. Many pet stores will sell sick or injured geckos to make a quick buck. There are a few crested gecko breeders on this site. If you dont find a breeder here you want to order from, there are many offsite breeders. Ill see if I can find some.

I am planning to get them from a breeder. I work at a pet store and we have a crested gecko who is the coolest thing and that is what introduced me to them although I would never buy any animal from a pet store.

Thats the crested section. You might want to try looking through it for breeders posting pictures of their hatches, or other breeding topics, then contact them about buying one. Or just post a thread asking about who's a breeder and what they have available.

I thought Kristi got rid of all her cresteds due to too high of temps in her house? But you could still try her since Im not 100% sure. Also Fuanaclassifieds, and Kingsnake.com are Great places to look

Welcome to GF!!!!cresteds are awesome little guys. We currently have 16 ( 9 hatchlings). They are kind of addicting though so beware, lol
