New Leo owner here!

Hiya! I recently -- just yesterday actually -- received a leopard gecko as a surprise from my brother. This is the first time I've ever had a leo and I'm doing all my last minute research, if you will, to ensure it thrives in it's new environment. Mind you, my brother did not do any research whatsoever and placed the leo in a 10 gallon tank with... mulch. Yeah, mulch. I removed that straight away to prevent impaction and went on Amazon and bought a bigger tank. Not much bigger, it's only a 20 gallon (24"Lx18"Wx12"H). I'm still new to reptiles so I'm starting off small and working my way up. I'm hoping the 20 gallon will be suitable enough for my new family member. I definitely have a lot of questions regarding equipment and such but I'll save that for a different thread.

I look forward to meeting everyone and learning some new things!
