if your temp is at 95 deg thats an excellent temp.No then u dont need an infrared bulb.If u find your struggling to keep the warm end @ 95 deg than u can supplement with a bulb.

it's official! he eats... sort ofi counted crickets I put in the critter keeper today and he ate about 7, and 1 meal worm... and there was poo! tiny poo, but poo nonetheless... that's all a good sign, right?
I think together we solved your problems.So your leo has proper heat and is eating now.Yeah the carpet is thick and doesnt allow for the heat to go all the way through..You have proper heat = a leo that eats.Great news.Try not to handle him too much at first.Try smaller crickets if u want so he gets used to the crickets.
I loathe catching crickets... he doesn't seem to mind being moved... he actually climbed onto my finger ... didn't like that I moved once he did... but he will get over it... eventually? I have to move Ryuu too.... don't little crickets bite like big crickets?

Grats! If you prefer just using the mealies I would just do that since you know already he knows where they are. I'm not a big fan of catching crickets
As for handling since they're so small it takes a bit for them to get used to it
