Hello All -
I have been reading the message board for about a week because I am considering getting a leopard gecko! I actually had a bearded dragon that I had to put down (to no fault of my own) and I have this massive tank that my father built that I in no way, shape, or form want to get rid of and I love little reptiles! My vet actually was talking about how he has 4 and he thinks they are great pets -- he highly recommended one! Below is a picture of my tank (with my old bearded dragon in it ) I realize geckos don't need big tanks at all but I hope he/she will be happy in it! I won't do sand again even though my beardie was fine with it.
I don't really want to purchase mine from the pet store and I cannot find a breeder around here -- any suggestions?
I am moving July 3 so I don't want to get one before then. I would rather wait so he doesnt have to be stressed through the move -- plus I want to be sure that I spend a ton of time cleaning and disinfecting the tank..
I look forward to getting a lot of great information here and sharing stories with you guys.
PS - The bites look scary! I have heard that most geckos are pretty tame and even more tame than beardies so these pics and stories surprised me! :main_laughalthough mine was amazing and never once even tried to bite me)
