Hello fellow gecko lovers, I recently bought two leopard geckos(male/female pr) to add to my 40 breeder which I've already had a female leopard gecko in. I am a little confused on there genes/morph or what type of geckos they are? Sorry about the lack of knowledge on my part, I am still learning the lingo associated with these fascinating critters. So, I have three leopard geckos in a 40 breeder with carpet for substrate, a half log, a small cave, a small ceramic tower, a med. water dish, a plastic soup dish with a hole for an entrance with moistened moss for humidity chamber/egg laying. I have one 60watt daybulb and one 40 wat night bulb. I feed crickets every other day and dust calc. every other feeding. Am I doing anything wrong? Or anything to do better? need more info? ask please. Is my heat setup ok? Kinda of new to the hobby and could use some guidance Please!!:D

welcome! and another precaution you might want to take is to remove the male from the females unless you want to breed

IMO this kind of stuff is wrong. I'm planning to breed and I just got 2 new geckos today/I have no clue what morph they are.... Should never be an intro to a community of keepers/breeders.... Don't get mad because you got shot down.... You shouldn't tamper with things you have 0 knowledge of...

This is exactly what everyone is talking about in another thread. This makes you just want to scream. This is one reason why these animals are so overproduced. I mean, read the quotes! Unreal.

You have NO business at all breeding these animals. You have admitted that you are clueless about these animals...you don't even know what you morph's they are!

And to answer a question of yours, No...your heating is not ok, and you are doing alot wrong. You should listen to people on this board or you are going to be stuck with a bunch of geckos you THINK you can get rid of, but in reality, NOBODY will buy because for one, you don't even know what they are! You can't just breed any two leo's together! You should research this site from top to bottom before even thinking about breeding.

Sorry to be so blunt and harsh sounding, but reality is just that. Take your time and research before jumping into anything.

They need belly heat so please get an undertank heater and get more experience before breeding. You can't just breed because you want to.

Don't you just love it when someone asks for advise and then gets mad because you don't give them the answer they wanted?
It is extremely childish.
