New owner in need of help :)

Hi there all,

I'm a new owner and I'd like to clarify a few things with you guys first. I've read many articles and responses to the use of vitamin supplements. However, there seems to be a lot of variation in what people recommend.

Firstly, I'd like to know if what I intend to do with my new YOUNG leo (4 or 5 months old) is correct. This is...

1) I'll have a constant supply of PURE calcium in the viv. at ALL times.
2) I'll only use calcium with D3 for dusting food.

Question is, is this correct? And, how often should I dust the food with the calcium D3 mix?

there's a thousand correct ways to do things.

i don't have a calcium dish in the cages, i dust *every* meal with a mix of calcium w/d3 and vitamin powder.

i have never heard of a case of vitamin overdose with leopard geckos. i have heard of lots of cases of vitamin deficiency tho.

Just be careful with the d3, to much d3 can hurt your gecko.
