I've had my LG since August of last year. His hatch date is 02/15/10. Today I walked in to see him licking his vent and there were some greyish drops of fluid that he licked up from that area.
My first thought when I saw this was my gecko tore his tail, I didn't know it was his vent until I looked up LG anatomy after seeing this. It was very red and looked like a tear to me at first but there was no bleeding.
My questions then are, is this normal or should I be worried? I couldn't get a clear pick of vent area to post but in looking at it, it does appear red and swollen on one side of it. If there's any cause to be alarmed I'll schedule a vet appointment tomorrow.
I'll post a pic if I can get one.
Thanks
