Hello all. I recently just got into lizards, aside from the few house geckos i would catch and house temporarily as a child. It actually all started when i purchased two Texas spiny lizards from a person who was trying to sale them. That got the hobby off the ground. I have since purchase two Tokay Geckos, which led me to this forum. I picked out a male and female and have them living together in a 18x18x24 cage right now, until i can get them in a bigger cage. I'm looking at getting more geckos of different kinds very soon.
I have the Tokays in the cage listed above with a peat moss soil, hide box, nice wood pieces, some fake plants for now. I mist the tank through the day for drinking water. I keep the humidity between 60 and 80, I'm striving to keep it about 80. I'm using distilled water to mist with. I use a heat bulb in the day (red), and a night time heat bulb (blue) at night. I'm working on getting some UVB bulbs for the daytime as well. Any suggestions on things to change/add?
Thanks, Matt
I'm looking forward to my stay here.
