Hello All!
My name is Brittany and Im from a small town in upstate NY. I just got my leo from a co worker about 2 months ago. She was going to Africa for a year and couldn't keep her so I said I would take her. The first time I saw her I knew something wasn't right. Her legs were bowed and she had trouble walking. She gave me this powder that would "cure" her. When I looked at it it was calcium with D3. Now I know that reptiles are suppose to get supplemented with calcium and I have never owned a gecko in my life. So I talked to bio teacher and my friend who is going to school for herpetology and owns geckos himself. Between talking to the two of them they concluded that she most likely has MBD. She now has a UV light on her and gets calcium with D3. After 2 months of hand feeding her and the light and calcium she is doing amazing. She is running around her cage and is alot better at catching the superworms. Now that she is doing better I am looking to upgrade her cage. Devin has had a rough beginning so now I want to give her a cage that she can enjoy.
