Hello gecko community, I'm new to the whole gecko lifestyle and can't wait to get started! I currently have a 40 gallon breeder and a zoo med UTH to get started. I will be using ceramic tile for my substrate and I would like to know what else I will be needing to get it started! I have a good idea I just want to see what others suggest!

thanks! :D:main_thumbsup:

Welcome to GF. Other "necessities" include: cover for tank, hides for total number of geckos you plan to keep in there plus one additional if possible, humid hide, calcium and vitamin supplements, water bowl, any decoration you want, and, of course . . . geckos.

I got the tank cover, I'll be keeping two females together so does that mean I need two humid hides? humid hides are usually in a rubbermaid sandwich container and have damp moss in them correct? got supplements, water bowl, I think I'm good to go. I just want to have the tank ready for the new geckos! Do you guess recommend and sites to purchase a leo from?

You can check out the breeders' links at the top of the page, or else post in the "wanted" section. That's how I got my latest male breeder. I think there are also some shows coming up in your area.
