Hello Everyone My name is Nicole and the adorable little girl attach is Gabby.

Gabby is 11 months old. She was given to me by a co-worker who did not have the time for her.

Bear with me while I am new to the whole gecko owning adventure. I am not new to reptiles. I have a 6 year old ball python named Wednesday, and a 3 1/2 month old Chameleon named Leon, he is chameleon number 2, his predecessor was Jade and she died about 2 weeks ago.

I do have questions for sweet Gabby. She was given to me with a 20 gallon aquarium which I am getting rid of, I am going bigger and she will be in a bioactive setup. My questions are:

1. does anyone have their kids in a bioactive set up?

- if so what plants are best

2. can you attach pics so I can get a rough idea of what I need to make sure I include.

3. While I know leopard geckos are from a desert like area, does anyone have theirs attached to a spray unit for water?

4. supplements being used for food, and how often?

Welcome! Here are my answers to your questions:
1. does anyone have their kids in a bioactive set up?
I have done it once before with leopard geckos and it was fine. For a lot of reasons, it's been easier for me not to do it, but all my other geckos (crested geckos, gargoyles, day geckos, leachianus) are in bioactive setups. Here's 2 articles written a while ago about bioactive setups for leopard geckos:

- if so what plants are best: I would highly recommend succulents in small pots. That way, they can get dry as succulents like to do and then you can take out the pot, drench them and return them to the enclosure.

2. can you attach pics so I can get a rough idea of what I need to make sure I include.
Check out the articles for that

3. While I know leopard geckos are from a desert like area, does anyone have theirs attached to a spray unit for water?
There is no need to have a spray unit. It's too much humidity for them. The humid hide gives them a more humid microclimate if they desire it.

4. supplements being used for food, and how often? I feed my leopard geckos twice a week and supplement with Repashy Calcium Plus, which is an all-in-one supplement one of those times.
