Hello everyone,

just wanted to stop in and say HI! I have been reading about lizards alot the past few days. We were thinking about picking up some Anoles to keep but after doing a bunch of reading we really think we'd like a Leopard Gecko instead. Seems a bit easier to keep and also much cooler lizard we think.

Anyway, haven't made any purchases yet and probably won't for at least a couple of weeks. In the mean time I wanted to join the forums and do as much reading as possible so I know exactly what i'm getting into and how to keep the little guy (or gal) healthy.

Welcome to GF. I also think a leopard gecko is a better idea than an anole because the leos can be handled as well as being great pets. There are a number of care sheets if you click on the tab at the top "articles/caresheets".

Hi, welcome to GF! I started out w/green anoles, but like leos better, they seem a lot easier to care for! I have to warn you, THEY ARE ADDICTING!

This is very very smart and mature to get the setup ready before bringing your Leo home. Even better would be to post a pic of the enclosure so we can make sure everything looks good. Just remember you need an undertank heater(not lights) and sand is a no-no. Welcome to the forums and I can't wait for you to get a Leo. They grow on you fast
