4 days ago I rescued a Leo in very bad shape the previous owner, well I'll leave it up to u to decide. she is extremely skinny not eating she had unshed skin on all her feet the tank she was in was a bio haz I felt so sorry for her I have no previous experience with geckos I am new to this whole game, I'm originally from oz so grew up with them all around. Now living in Ireland I bought meself a beardie for chrissie and have fallen in love wit him so when I saw this poor lil Leo I had to try and help her so I brought her home got new tank for her studying everything can and tryin to nurse her back to health. I'm havin to force feed her she jus won't eat by herself, she so weak I hope she pulls through. So if there's anyone out there that can help me out please do. Cheers

Welcome to GF. There are a bunch of leopard gecko care sheets at the top under the "articles caresheets" section to just get the basic info if you need it. If you do a search for "sick gecko" on the forums I suspect you'll find lots of accounts of sick geckos and lots of advice about what to do. Look on the forum (probably a sticky) for "slurry" which is a recipe for a pureed food you can make for sick geckos. If you lose this one, disinfect the cage really well and if it got you hooked on leopard geckos, look for a breeder who can sell you a healthy one. Good luck,

Hi ALiza thanx for your help, unfortunately she passed away last night. Seems I was too late with my rescue bid. I'm gonna try and find a good breeder easier said than done in Ireland, and get me a healthy one. Any advice welcome, cheers

Ah fair play to you Holly thanx sometimes ur best ain't enuf. Seems she had been neglected for some time Will jus have to get me a healthy leo now. I'm jus sittin here watchin ErnieDingo, my Beardie munchin his Salad I've had cut him back a bit on his live food he gettin bit plump lol he lookin at me like his throat bin cut he loves his tucker lmao it's a case of havin to b cruel to b kind.
