Newbie question: Moist hide

Hi all -- I'm brand new to geckos. I'm going to make a moist hide out of tupperware; my question is, should the hole for entry/exit be in the side of the container or in the lid? I've seen both. If the hole is up top, does the gecko need a ramp to climb up there, or can he make it on his/her own?

BTW, been seeing pictures of lego hides here... they look so, so cool. I'm seriously tempted to try that. They'd fit the cage well, and my kids would love it!

Thanks
Aaron

It's a matter of personal preference. Top entry is good for a messy gecko that likes to toss the moist substrate around. As long as it isn't too tall they can get up just fine.
