Hi guys I've recently just purchased a new viv and got my self a 4 month old gecko I've done a bit if research and leaving him to settle a few days I put a few crickets in there and the didn't last long, i'm open to people to offer me advise or tips. I havnt seen much of him as he's always in his hide only really comes out when he sets his eyes on a cricket. Thanks

Most geckos will hide a lot when they are new. In addition, young geckos are "programmed" to stay under cover so they don't end up being someone's dinner. Some geckos also are naturally "hermits". Hopefully as the gecko grows and gets more comfortable it will show itself more. At least it's eating; that's a good sign.
