we've had our tokay for just over a month now, i expected a demon of a gecko, but he's so friendly!! i was in amazement the other day, i was cleaning his tank and he just came right up to me and got on my hand!! he barks and gapes sometimes but he's actually starting to come up to the glass when we are looking at him, and now as soon as my hand is in the tank, on he hops and walks up to my shoulder, he seems to like the tv, if its on and he's out he'll happily sit there looking like he's watching it, could this be phase he's going through? the woman i bought him off said she handled him alot and he was friendly with her, could i possibly have a nice tokay?? i am well chuffed!!

Tokays, though naturally bad tempered, can be tamed if handled from a baby. A few breeders pride in selling their tokays fully tamed.

I dont think he is watching TV lol, remember they dont have eyelids like leos,so they could be sleeping and their eyes are open. Tokays are generally WC and have bad dispositions, a CB baby is the best way to get one to tame down. would love to see some pics of your tokay, you can see some pics of mine somewhere down below in this section.
