Night Drop Temp on my ND?

SO today I finally got my Herpstat ND ... thing's pretty cool, except it's taking forever for my tank to heat up to 92 (it's night right now but I'm just testing it) so my question is what should I do for my night temp? I have my day temp at 92 and my night to drop to 87 is that too little or what?

You really don't need to have a "night drop temp". You can just leave it set to 92 all day and that will be fine. But I guess if you really wanted to keep it a tad cooler at night you could, but I would always keep the tank between 88-92 at all times, and with that Herpstat you should be able to do just that :).

my tank is a 20 gallon, I have pics of it here...

my UTH is the 6X8 Zoomed that they list as being for 10-20 gallons... should I go the next size up? Over night the temp dropped from 92 all the way down to 84 and the cool side got all the way down to 75 even though I have a Herpstat ND attached to it?(AC was turned on in the room over night) do you think I should go a size up? and then should I also slap a UTH on the wall next to the landing in the back of the tank to heat the second level?

Very nice set up! Just a quick question though...do you have a humid hide in there somewhere?

I think you are fine with the UTH that you already have, as I have one of my geckos in a 20 gallon and that same sized UTH and it works out perfectly. I don't see what would be making the temperature drop, since you have a thermostat it should keep the temperature pretty constant. I am not familiar with the Herpstat ND though...so maybe there are some settings on it that I am not aware of that you could have set incorreclty maybe??

I also don't think you will need a second UTH for the second level. As long as you have one good spot where your gecko can go to get warm then I think he/she will be ok. But it is possible that he/she will not use the top that often because of it being cold, and him wanting to stay in the warm area below. So in that case you could, if you really wanted, get another UTH for the upper level, but I don't think it is necessary.

And also, UTH's can get above 100 degrees if not used with a dimmer or thermostat of some sort...so that's what is confusing me as to why you can't get the temps to stay at a constant temperature. All I can seem to think of is that there is something wrong with the Herpstat.

Yeah the hide on the right side closest to the camera is the humid hide

and I just think I'm under powered, I'm trying a new UTH I'll be picking up tomorrow, as well as a second one for the second level and some sort of hide for up there as well. I do think I need to reset my Herpstat because I think when I first started it up I changed the setting from Proportional to On/OFF... now to figure out how the hell to fix that?
