One of our females (laid last week) wont fully lunge at her prey. It seems like she makes an attempt and jumps at it a short distance but is way off from catching. She eats fine from tongs. What would cause this? She is an adult and laid her second clutch last week. She is in a 40 long tank with 2 others and has been for awhile. Is this normal for her after laying?

I can't tell you how many geckos I have that do this and how many I'm dropping the feeders in front of or holding the feeder's legs so they can succeed. I don't know why. I've even had geckos that were great hunters just lose it. One thing that works is to use superworms. They're bigger and easier to grab than mealworms (and they move more) but they're not as jumpy or fast as crickets.
