Okay, so I'm having a weird problem that I've seen others on here have a few times; Tiamat hasn't used the bathroom in about two days. She, is, however, eating. Eating more than she has in the passed week. Just this morning she wolfed down a super and four mealies. But she has yet to produce waste. I checked her for impaction and nothing. I've managed to up the temps in her tank considerably and with a bit of insulation, it's usually around 84-85 degrees on the warm end where she spends most of her time. Hotspot is 95 now, but she's usually in her moist hide, which is about 90-92, according to my thermometer probe.

Any thoughts?

Dont worry, she is probably not impacted, maybe just a little
constipated. It's normal for them to skip a few days.
If she is still not going after 4 days, that may be a problem.

Just disscontinue feeding the mealies for a few days and feed only
crix that have been gut-loaded w/ fresh fruit and /or veggies.

Mealies are very low in moisture and can contribute to constipation.

Just feed her all the crix she can eat, and the poop will come :main_yes:

That would be easy, but she doesn't seem to like crickets any more. :( Since her appetite seems to be returning I'll try them again, but I doubt she'll eat any.

What about supers? She's been eating them more now as well. I thought they had more moisture in them.

If she doesn't go you can sit her on your lap with her on a towel and massage her stomach with a warm wet cloth or paper towel..

Or what I used to do for my beardie, put him in a little bit of warm water, in a dish or sink, and either massage the tummy or just let the warmth stimulate a bowel movement.

I'll try that if she doesn't go in two more days. I don't want to stress her out unless I really have to. I just bought some more crickets (hopefully she'll eat them) and provided them with some broccoli, carrots, and potatoes. So hopefully, if she even eats one it'll be enough moisture for her to pass a bowel.

This is true! I heard about it but I didn't believe it because I thought she'd drink water BUT I've noticed that Lana seems to go to the bathroom every two days and she eats 10-12 mealies a night! The few days that I feed roaches she pooped every night sometimes twice a night.

I agree with Nats you need to find a feeder with more moisture, I think why some many reptile owners say Variety is key.

Yeah I feed anywhere from 5-8 small crickets plus 3-5 mealies to my baby Leo a night.

He goes to the bathroom...a lot. lol

Mine has been very regular on the crickets. I feed whole oatmeal, apples and cricket quencher.

Well I got her to eat one small cricket! And yesterday and today she's been enjoying supers as well as mealies. I hope she goes soon. I don't want to have to stress her out by giving her a bath. Not that she seems to mind her tummy rubbed. Just now I was holding her with her perched on my fingers and I was rubbing under her tummy to make sure there wasn't a lump or anything - just in case. As long as my hands are nice and warm, she seems to enjoy my touch, I think. ^^

Dont depend on the water bowel. leos get most of their moisture from
the food they eat. Unlike us (we drink liquids all day!!) they do not always
get the urge to drink. Also, even if we drink tons of liquid, if we eat nothing
but low moisture/high fat food, we get constipated too.

Well she's started eating crickets again. And sure enough this morning there was some poo! She still prefers her supers and mealies but this morning she ate two crickets. I'll try to give her some more later.

Thanks for all the advice, guys!
