Noob checking in

Hi everyone. Me and my girlfriend just got two baby geckos. We get a kick out of seeing them eat crickets. I'll be around trying to learn as much as I can and help others when I can....I do have a question though. Why do you guys call them leos????

Leo is a short name for Leopard Gecko. Its just something we do! lol

Well, we call 'em leos because they're like little lions, but leopards are cool too, so it doesn't really matter which big cat you prefer. Personally, I think a gecko beats a cat in cuteness any day of the week.

Leopard Geckos are called Leos because there is less typing involved in letting people know what you are talking about. You could say Gecko but, then someone would want to know what type.
