Alright guys, i know you guys here these questions all the time, but, better safe then sorry when it comes to the care of my pets. So, quick run down, my experience is with pythons, boa's, and iguana's. I've spent the last 2 yrs. researching gecko's (after having a premature daughter and a divorce, well, the ex made me get rid of anything big enough to eat a 2 lb. baby, lol, that was pretty much every snake in the house) so, i've been looking to regrow the collection from a ball, a rainbow boa, and a beardie with some gecko's. Size, and availability of morphs drew me to debate between crested's and leo's, but after some late night craigslist hunting i ended up finding a helluva deal on a colony of leopards. 11 to be exact, i pick them up saturday. a mix of multi morph (pair of 07 diablo blanco's from ron tremper, female snow bell), line bred traits (pair of bold stripes and lavender reverste stripes, female hyperxanthic), and co-dom with mack snows.

Now the question is, the lavender reverse stripe pair are het RAPTOR, and have already been bred this season, and started laying eggs. I'm getting 2 incubators in the deal, so thats done, but the outcome is the question, I understand the genetics of ball pythons, and the idea of line bred and what not, but the multimorph combos like the Diablo Blanco's and Raptor hets, just throw me off a notch. I can't lie, i'm excited hoping for a RAPTOR, and wouldn't mind working eventually with the other leo's on a breeding project, would love to breed out a bold stripe snow bell. Thanks for your help in advance guys.

Rather than tell you what you're going to get, I'll suggest a methodology so you can do the legwork:
figure out what components are in each of your geckos (e.g. RAPTORS will be tremper albino [recessive], eclipse [recessive], patternless stripe [stripe and reverse stripe, some combination of line bred and genetic],tangerine [line bred]). Then figure out what the dominant/recessive and linebred likelihoods are for each pairing. It can get complicated, but when you're done you'll know your geckos really well and know what to expect. If you're not sure of the components of a particular morph, either check out leopardgeckowiki or ask here (you can see from above that "het RAPTOR" is not as simple as "het albino" because the RAPTOR is a combination of a bunch of traits).

Yeah, that's why the raptor combo and diablo blanco combo's confused me, because its not simple recessive or co-dom, but the line bred combinations thrown in the mix don't make sense as being "het" so too speak. I'm hoping for an interesting mix, just have to sit down and do the leg work on possible outcomes. thanks
