Normal or Spotted?

So we are going to look at some leopard geckos today at a reptile store. Mom and pop store that specilizes in reptiles. He says he has normals - which are more colorful, and he has spotted.

I've looked a few different morph guides and don't see "spotted" on there. Any idea what he may be referring to? The normal's I've seen have a yellow base color with lilac/purple bands and are heavily spotted all over.

So if you had the choice which would you get? We're not breeding or anything. I thinking we'll get whichever looks healthyist.

No clue what he means by "spotted" can you ask him for a better morph description? I would go with which ever has the best temperament and looks healthiest, hopefully it's the same leo :)

Have you gotten your tank set up yet?

Your discriptions sound like his normals are high yellows and his spotted are just normals. But yes do ask for more details on that but in the meantime look at High yellows and normals. His spotted maybe mean mack snows too. Hard saying...If they dont know the morphs makes me wonder how well they care for the animals they specilize in....NOT bashing them just curious.

All normal leopard geckos have spots. I would assume the "normals" are hypos or tangs, which have reduced spotting.

I'm wondering if he was trying to "dumb it down" for us because we are newbies. I know he had blizzards the last time I was there.

We shall see.

Yep, got the tank all set up now so it will be nice and warm for him when we get home.
