Normal vs. Crypto feces?

Just wondering if anyone has pictures of normal feces versus crypto feces? Curious to know what crypto feces look like in comparison. Want to know what to look for with crypto.

Also, with geckos that do have crypto, do they always lose weight? I have one with occasional diarrhea, yet she hasn't lost any weight. I'm keeping her separate from the others, though...just in case.

Crypto feces sometimes look like green mucous, sometimes they look completely normal.
The only way to know for sure if your reptile has it is to bring a stool sample to a vet and have it tested.

Cyrpto is NOTHING to play with. I had a gecko test positive at my store and it was horrific. I was so paranoid that I would bring it home that I stripped my clothes off at the front door and washed my hands with HOT HOT soapy water 81378637 times a day.
If you catch it in the early stages, you MAY be able to combat it - if not, euthanisia is your most humane option.

I talked to my supplier who sent me this gecko. He is under the impression that all geckos can carry crypto, but when theyre stressed and their immune systems are compromised, thats when it can take over and kill them.
In my experience, they poop horrible smelling booger poops, and then not at all. They stop eating and lose weight at a drastic rate.

Are you the same person as over on GU with this question?

Similar question, not the exact question. I'm the one with Ducky, if that helps.

-Katie, Well, it's not green/mucousy/stinky and she hasn't stopped eating or lost any weight. She's never been with my others, and I always disinfect in between, so hopefully if she does have it, the others don't get it. I'll be sure to get her tested when I can find a vet close-by that I trust. My trusted reptile vet is over 2 hours away and only in on days that I have classes, one of the reasons why she hasn't been to a vet yet. Other reason is that the diarrhea happens only occasionally and she hasn't lost weight/appetite/etc. No other symptoms.

Id take the day off school and make the trip.
Crypto is seriously nothing to cross your fingers and hope that its something else.
Even a day can make a big difference.

How can a day make a big difference? Crypto isn't curable, right? And if she's not having any other problems, then it's not a life/death situation. Unless she's losing weight, not eating, etc., I can't really miss class. She's still very active, loves to eat, and is otherwise healthy. If she does get any worse, even a bit, I will take the time out of class to take her to my trusted vet. Otherwise, I'm going to see if fellow reptile owners in my area recommend any vet here.

It can be cured if caught early enough. One day CAN make a HUGE difference.
Shes your pet, you ultimately make the decision. I personally would leave school early to make sure she was alright.

By the time they start to "look" like they have crypto, youve waited too long.

If you have to skip a class or two to get your sick pet to the vet, do it. If you need an excuse (though most professors won't really care if you miss one class without an excuse), just tell them you have a doctor's appointment or you're sick or, hell, tell them the truth.
