Normal?

Our first two eggs were laid on Jan.31 and they both looked ok until a couple of days ago. Now one is mushy and yellow. The other is firm and white.

Is it normal to have one good egg and one bad egg? I took the yucky one out already.

It can definitely happen. Sometimes there's nothing in the egg but it takes awhile for that to show up and sometimes the embryo dies for some reason.

OK. So chances are I didn't do anything wrong, right? That was my biggest concern although I'm pretty bummed that one of the eggs didn't make it.
