THey don't need calories to keep warm like mammals, and they don't expend much energy. I have a male who's just started eating after about 3 months and has lost maybe 6 grams. I have another male who usually doesn't eat between Nov. and May (he ate through Jan. this year) and generally loses about 15 grams which he puts on during the summer. I worried about it the first year, but this has been going on for maybe 4 years or so and they're both perfectly healthy.

My bearded dragon has eaten almost nothing in 4 months....this is what she looks like now. She has lost almost no weight at all.

One of mine has gone on a no food diet. Its got me worried now as its been about 3 months. Her tail has gotten pretty skinny. I've tried waxworms, superworms, crickets, and nothing interests her. I try to soak her in warm (not hot) water about once a day. She has taken to sleeping most of the time and isn't nearly as active as she was. Her clutchmate/sister seems perfectly healthy and eats everything I place in the tank. They live together, but the one hasn't eaten anything in a long time. I think I'm going to try some of the gecko slurry that has been posted on here.

I have a familiar story. Always around March, one of my girls stops eating and becomes less active, usually until about May. She doesn't lose much weight, and appears overall healthy and normal. I used to worry about it the first year, but it's been two years so far with this behavior always around this time and she's been fine. Come May or June, she's back to pounding food like the ravenous beast she is!

All three of my females are on hunger strikes right now. This is the first year they have done this. It also happens to be the first year I've has males. I think the know they are there even though they aren't in the same tank.
