Not eating mealworms

Ok, so my leo seems to have absolutely no interest in the mealworms in his tank. I thought maybe since I just got him, he was still too stressed to eat much, but the second I put crickets in, hes all over them. He has looked into the dish (even crawled through it a few times) but seems to have no interest. It also seems to me that the calcium does not stick very well to the small crickets and my leo may not be getting enough by not eating the calcium dusted mealworms. What can I do about this?

The meal worms probably aren't moving enough to trigger him to eat, it's not all that uncommon. All but two of my geckos will eat meal worms. It has been proven that certain reptiles do have food preferences, so that's another possibility. I don't usually have a problem with calcium sticking to crix at any size. But one way to help alleviate that is to just stick a small dish (milk cap) in the cage and put the calcium in that. Your gecko will eat the calcium if it needs it, don't forget to change the calcium once a week.

Every animal is different, my leos love mealies but my AFT hates them. Aslong as he eats and likes crickets then I wouldnt worry about it.
