I have a leo that i have had for like 3 months. I think that he may only be 4 month old. So at first i had him eating crickets and he ate them for about a month. Now i have him eating mealworms which he has been eating for 2 months. But now he wont eat could it be that he wants crickets again? I am going out on wednesday so i will pick up some crickets.

My hottest spot temp is 92-94 and cool temps are 80-75. He dosent look like he is in shed.

How can you tell when a Gecko is going to shed?

Our little guy isn't eating either. But I don't believe it's due to shedding. He's getting very thin and hasn't eaten since we got him (he did eat two crickets but regurged them) we've only had him a week and 2 days. So I'm getting frustrated :(

Hope your little guy eats soon!! Maybe it is just a shed...

He might still be getting adjusted to his new home, I've seen some people say on here they can go weeks without eating while getting adjusted. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in to help

Well i have had mine for 3 months plus he was eating before so i dont think that is is still getting used to his house. His colors are pretty bright so theres no way he could be in shed.

I'm hoping thats the case with Fred. Because we haven't handled him or anything in the week he's been here and hoping he gets adjusted soon. He's looking sickly (thin). I really would hate for anything to happen to him.....so fingers crossed ours is him adjusting.

I really wanna have one of those beefy leo's that so many have on here, lol So beautiful and healthy looking. I always seem to have bad luck when picking animals out :/

About a week and a half, but normally he eats alot so thats why its concering me.

I was also thinking about trying one of those appetite stimulizers but im not sure how well it would work.

Does he look at all like he'll shed soon?

I worry that they aren't eating for over a week...how long can a Gecko go, does anyone know?

I was just reading in another post that someone's Gecko refused to eat after eating Mealies for so long, that they put some crickets in his dish (removed the legs) and the Gecko ended up eating the crickets and leaving the mealies. Maybe that's the case for you? (I don't think I read that in this thread? lol forgive me if it was...).

Yeah me too! Would hate for anything else to be wrong. I'm going to try my guy on mealies next I think. Since the crickets aren't working right now. Fingers crossed for the both of us! :D
