Not getting supplements?

I have 2 females that I never catch eating. I though I had them eating super worms, but I found a bunch of escapees. They appear healthy and happy(for a reptile) so I think they are just in winter mode and not big eaters. My concern is when I dust with calcium+D3 or vitamins, I don't think they are getting any due to the slow eating habits. Should I leave bottle caps of these supplements or just assume all is well and when it gets warmer hopefully they will eat more? I do have straight calcium in there that they get into now and again.

I wonder the same thing sometimes...I know for a fact that our guy will lick up calcium from a dish. We usually leave plain (pure) calcium in his dish, but every couple of weeks we leave Calcium w/ D3 in the dish to make sure he gets enough D3.

We've never left a cap of vitamins out before, but definately contemplated it for the same reasons you are.

Ive got the room to put a cap or 2 down.

Any other throughts? Would they go for other supplements in a dish?

I think supplement in a dish is unnecesary, because with high humidity, these supplements go bad very quickly.
To dust food with supplements is all you need to do

leopard geckos dont need high humidity. theyre desert creatures, not tropical.
careful not to hurt your gecko by having too much humidity in it's viv.

I have heard of leaving the multi-vitamin mixed with some calcium in the cage and it doesn't hurt the geckos one bit.. they know what they need and will lick accordingly

zzz888 I don't know where your getting your information from but the calcium can last about two or three months and they should only have a hide of high humidity..not a tank of it.
I have too heard of mixing the multi vitamin but I think I would only do that on smaller leos or geckos that are unhealthy.
