Not laying?

My female Leopard gecko, Amber, in on her second clutch. The thing is, she stopped eating about three days ago, and she's just walking around more than every. It's been three weeks and four days so far after her first clutch(One egg, which took two weeks and three days), and I'm starting to worry. She's a first timer, so.... does anyone have any ideas?

We've had females go anywhere from 14 days to 30 days between clutches. Turn her over and see if she has HUGE eggs inside, it will be fairly obvious if the is egg bound. As a first time breeder there is also the possibility that she just re-absorbing the eggs which is very common. Is there any way you can get a belly pic of her?

I can never tell if the eggs she has are abnormal in size, and I can't take great pics on bellyshots, but.. I'll let you decide.

I also just gave her a bath in lukewarm water.

I only see one egg, and it's close to laying time. If she has been off food for a few days, she is ready to lay. Just make sure she has an appropriate place to lay them!

Ok, but is it normal for them to be more active than usual? Thanks Marcia! Oh, one more question..is it normal for first time breeders to only lay one egg for their second clutch?

It's common for 1st year breeders to lay single eggs at a time all season, it's usually nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on her, I'll bet she lays that egg any day now.

Thank you! I was getting a bit worried! But I still have a question. Is it common for her to be more active than usual? It's been two days after that pic. Thanks again!

Ok, great, thank you very much! She's in her laying box right now, but not digging yet. In the past days she's gotten accustomed to laying at the opening of the hide. And when she digs, I'll know, because almost all the Eco-Earth is in her calcium dish, and some even in her water(which is all on the other side of her tank). Last time, she didn't have enough substrate left to bury the egg, but she tried ;). Thanks again!

Wow, I swear some of you guys are the equivalent to the tooth fairy! Lol, anyways, she's started digging around, but it's not as rediculous as last time, so I'm guessing either late tonight or sometime tomorrow. Thanks!

Will do! She's packed all the Eco-Earth that isn't thrown out of her hide into one side, like last time, so I'm getting excited again, and :main_robin: every few minutes:main_yes:

Well, the wait is finally over, and the prize was a big, healthy egg! It's longer than my first one. Thank you all!
