well didnt know if i should put this in here but i have a female that you can tell is gravid not sure if fertile or not i had her with male but never caught them breeding or near each other much. well i placed her in her own tank she has been "gravid" for long over a month. and she stopped eating about 2 weeks ago and refuses it. her temps were at 93 a day then i read greggs post and put them up to 97 and still not eating. well shes been very edgy and wont let u near her laying in her water dish her calcium dish and on top of things but will not go in her lay box what so ever. well how long does it take to drop the eggs and when should i think its egg bound. ill post pics later when i can get her calm. her belly just is hugh and weird looking to me! please let me know if its normal for it to take this long after she stopped eating! i have everything ready for eggs but just not sure when they will come or if vet is needed

If the eggs are very large, she's likely fertile, because if the male doesn't fertilize them, they won't grow past their very beginning stages and just dissolve.

Some geckos continue to eat until they lay. My female stops eating the week she lays, but resumes eating the same day that she does lay. She doesn't move much the week she lays but she isn't edgy.

The egdyness and aggressiveness lead me to believe she is in pain. I think the eggs should have been laid by now, but someone a bit more experienced may know otherwise.. in my experience, I don't think my girl has ever taken a month once the eggs were fertile.

You can try giving her a soak in warm water to see if that helps her pass the eggs. THen you have a choice of either assuming she's about to lay and waiting till she does, or taking her to the vet if you think she's egg bound. If she is truly egg bound, there's nothing anyone but a vet can do because she probably needs at the least an injection of something to help her pass the eggs and at the most surgery.
