nursed back to health

so last year (i think) i bought a few cichlids for my 55 gallon tank. one of them which (until a few months ago) i was unsure what it was. anyway when i bought him he was all skin and bones and to be honest i didnt think he would live very long. but boy was i wrong. he has grown alot since i bought him and is now the second biggest fish in the tank

The last picture he looks like a Venustus cross, but as a baby he doesn't.
I'm sorry cichlids arent my thing, I not the best at identifying them. Since hybrids are everywhere, and there are so many similar species, I get confused.

i think i found out he is a nimbofusco.
