I have heard the temperment of the afghans isnt as docile as the macularious.
Is that true? I would think they are the same!

No that's not true, mine are super curious and very tame. Now one of my hatchlings, hatched ready to take on the world:main_evilgrin: but I have also seen some of my Sunglow hatchlings do the same and there as tame as tame can be. They calm down a lot do to my interactions with them. And yes, these are pure E. Afghanicus. Thanks guys

When did I miss this? They are no longer considered a subspecies of Eublepharis macularius? When did this change? I'm only aware still of the 1976 description...

Come on Steve, get over yourself. If you don't have anything productive or nice to say... maybe you should take a hike.

Anyway, Eric... your animals are amazing. :)

For the purists, Eric and everyone else knows that's a fine example of E. M. Afghanicus

It's a valid question! I have not been too active here or in the leopard gecko community in a few years now.

What's stopping you Steve! Lets get picky. Steve, you knew damn well what I freaking meant!

No I actually thought they might have been reclassified. I have dealt with quite a few animals over the years that there has been debate over what classification they belonged to. It wouldn't shock me really to come here and find out there was a new species of eyelid gecko...

I did a quick google search and didn't find anything so I thought it'd be easier to ask for clarification.

My choice to be direct in my responses does not warrant the rude and nasty replies I have been given by you tonight, eric.

Really now, you don't think the discussion of leopard gecko taxonomy can be productive? Was something I said in that context not nice?

Take a step back, you're getting worked up over some issue that doesn't exist.
