I just took on a new rehab gecko baby, so that put me at 3 geckos with only 2 tanks. I had to move my two biggest females together so that the sick baby (who's shed covered, tail bitten off, and eyes shut) could have a 10 to herself. At feeding time, I put my huge female in an empty 55 I have so that the smaller female can eat without being eaten... I put Liam (my huge fav. female) in the 55 while the smaller female ate. I came back an hour later and she's nowhere to be found. She could not have climbed out of the 55, it was completely empty with nothing other than a shirt in the bottom. I've been searching all day to no avail :( And she was my first gecko, and my favorite :(

They can climb the silicone in the corners. You would be surprized. Keep looking. Check under everything and close doors to rooms you've searched. If you have other pets, keep them in a bathroom or they may eat her.
They always turn up, you just have to get creative. I found my snake under my treadmill, and in my bed (two different escapes).

If she is roaming around, she will most likely try to find a warm, dark place. Common spots (that I've heard from others) are near/under the fridge, in the bathroom, closets, etc. You may also want to try putting out a few hides with water to see if she'll go inside of them. Best of luck finding her!!

We had what I thought was an escapee a few weeks ago and we were searching everywhere for her. She actually had a run in with one of our cats and it was rather brutal, so.. I can empathize dearly and hope no one has to go through that!!

Are you 100% sure that the shirt wasn't hanging off the side? Or that she was not in the shirt?

Thanks everyone! Thankfully she is confined to the basement room.

No, the 55 was in the room in the basement.

Still no sign of her :(

I hope she turns up! My husband and I recently moved, and our Crestie had somehow escaped before we we moved its tank to the new place. The house was mostly empty, except for a few boxes, but we still couldn't find him. We looked that night every where, no luck so we decided to look again the next morning when we were finishing up. I was cleaning out the reptile room and had an empty box of tile and happened to look inside before I threw it away and there he was.. LOL.

Wow.. I'm never going to walk away from my tank with the front panels open again... If yours can climb a 55g, my front loading Exo Terra has no chance. LOL
