That's terrible. I always get slightly peeved when I read through ads on Kijiji for reptiles for sale, when I see what they're housed in/on. -sigh- Some people need to do more research, maybe?

I don't buy anything from craigslist in the animal section unless it's a cheap tank. I have actually e-mailed people to correct them about thier information in the ads and other things.

Recently there was someone trying to sell a "SUNKIST" leopard gecko, whatever that is. It was actually just a tang. After correcting him and sending several e-mails back and forth he still wouldn't take my word about tthe morph. Then he tried selling him to me, lol! I told him for one I'm not buying a gecko off someone who doesn't know what it is and second not knowing anything genetic wise about it.

I roam on their to see if anyone is wanting any lizards or reptiles. Some people on craigslist are uneducated about the correct ways of taking care of reptiles but many people are willing to learn. I have pissed of many people that wanted a gecko from me because of the number of questions I ask them about the knowledge needed. Oh well, I feel more comfortable if they don't get one off me.

Craigslist is full of idiots.

I've only purchased one thing from Craigslist and it was a 20gallon long tank w/ screen for $20 and I think that'll be the last of it. I've seen people selling 2 week old puppies, people selling lizards that they have no idea what they have, people saying their animal isn't vaccinated because at a year it's too young or giving advice which includes housing skinks in 20gallon tanks, co habitats in a 10gallon tank, etc.

The site honestly annoys me so I hardly go on anymore.

Yeah, I actually just contacted a guy on Kijiji about his 5 "banana blizzards," which I was at first excited about, because, hey if he really did have 5 Murphy's Patternless Blizzards, I was down. However, he sent me photos, and every single one of the babies was a normal or a high yellow. Very disappointing that he is breeding and doesn't know a stick of information about morphs.

what gets me is the people who go through and "rescue" animals off of craigslist, and then next you know the animal is for sale on local forums. I hate people who "flip" animals like that. I know of one in my area and it makes me want to smack my face on the computer desk every time i see a new forsale post of theirs.
