OK here is the story. I don't know when the egg was laid but it was some time ago. There were two eggs. The one if for sure not fertile because it is all brown and nasty. The other one for a while was growing and my boyfriend candled the egg and said there looked like there was something growing in there. That egg has a white grayish hue to it and looks like those i have seen online that are fertile. Just the other day it started to cave in. Is this normal. Its not just one spot that is caving in the entire egg is very flexible, a lot more than it was a few days ago. I don't want to pip it just yet. :(

at 87 degrees it is very possible that it is hatching although since it's been several many hours I might say it might be infertile, like a helium balloon eventually it just deflates

Most of our eggs that were incubated at 88-89 degrees hatched in 37-39 days so it is possible that if it was laid in early September, it may be ready to hatch. Our first egg was aweful looking. It had dents almost from day 1 and we had a mold issue but it hatched a perfectly normal little gecko on day 39. I wouldn't stop incubating until it went flat or stunk to high heaven.
