One more Gecko not eating : /

Sooo he completely stopped eating now : (

I've had my Gecko for about 5 months now. When I first got him he would eat superworms as fast as I could put them in his tank. his weight was 90 grams. then he slowly stopped eating them, about 3 weeks ago he stopped eating them completely and hasent eaten anything since. Barely poops and when he does its little.

I put a cricket in there for him, no emotion like he is blind or something.
Try to feed him a mealworm by putting it to his nose he doesnt do anything.
Actually the gecko doesnt really do anything at all tbh, just kinda lays there and moved from one hiding spot to another : /

Right now he weighs 84 grams but still not eating.
I know its not his tank setup/temps and he always has a moist hide.

Any help?

I've tried all of these and he shows no intrest in them.

What substrate do you have him on? I know mine have not been eating very much either...well less than normal but I was under the impression that it was the seasons.

Is he housed with other geckos? How are you measuring your temps?


3 weeks is not out of the ordinary, and 6 grams is within range of a couple large supers. Its probably just winter hibernation. A healthy leo can go several months without eating and be fine. Id just monitor him closely and offer food every other day. If he starts drastically losing weight bring him to a vet.

maybe its the winter and if he still weighs 84 grams thats a big gecko, may be he's hibernating or something because yeah they could last a few months without eating, just make sure he's drinking water, and I also have repti carpet thats the best stuff you can buy, my leo loves it so it cant be your substrate. just continue monitoring him because I'm positive its just a phase
