This will probably be a keeper! He already has a lot I like about him (cool head color/pattern, orange flame action on neck/head/chest, and a pastel band)!

Note the fancy borders... :rockstar: :D

What does the "BSB" stand for?

It stands/stood for Black Spot Bell... The jury was out on me since the sots are really brown so I want to change it to Bold Spot Bell now...

Search the forums and you'll find plenty (too much) of info...

Keep them coming

I wish! It'll be two more weeks before I hatch anymore Bells... :( At least I finally have eggs from "Special Mom" x her MS Bell son... I've been waiting a long time for that...

Nice bell for sure, but sorry, I still don't see any bold brown spots or black spots just a bell, I guess only time and development will tell.

Updated pics with actual black or bold brown spots that are not seen in others offspring would help you prove out your BSB project.

try? heck, that shouldn't be too hard for you should it?

LOL! I'm just reluctant to take pics because my best example is kinda skinny from breeding... I really don't want to post pics of him unless he's at his best...

Here's him taken a few months ago...

Three in the top right corner are from my BSB project (as well as the one in the bottom left, but didn't get spots). Sure the others have some spots, but they aren't as dark/bold...

I don't want to start another debate so please be (or pretend to be) satisfied with the pics... :nice:

The pcis are gorgeous and they are gorgeous leos but I will not pretend to see things that just aren't there, there are no BLACK spots on your bell albinos, by being an albino that is impossible to say the least.

Dark maroon spots (you call them black now brown) are common and sometimes bold, Im not gong to go steal pics off of other sites to prove this because anyone can go look at any bells for sale and see that some to a lot have somewhat darker spots and larger spots than others.

In the fourth pic. I see a lot of what look to me to be black spots. I have a bell that had a black spot on the tail. It faded to brown as she aged.
I think it's a cool project. It may be impossible to get an albino to keep any black spots as an adult, but you never know if you don't try. I see nothing wrong with trying and I think he has a great start. Even if Michael can get the spots dark enough so that they appear black, I think that would be pretty cool. I think a tangerine bell with really dark spots would look pretty sweet.

Thanks Brandy! I appreciate it.

Wendy, I never claimed these to be a proven morph... It's just a name I gave to my project... I think leos with spots/bold markings are sweet and I'm trying to share my enjoyment of them with others...
