our newest girl has had some problems from the beginning but i also had to feed one of our older ones for a while until she decided to wanted to hunt for her own food. so my question is, what are your opinions on having to hand feed one of your geckos? our newest only eats crickets and waits for me every morning by the front of her house. when she sees me coming she runs to the door. granted we've only had her about a week but she was crazy thin from not being able to see the whole time she was in the pet store. she tried hunting one on her own and spit it out before, but when i use the tongs to feed her pre-squished ones she'll eat. i guess it would be kind of time consuming for those with a busy schedule.

It's really a question of how much time do you want to spend. I have about 80 geckos at the moment and have to hand feed about 5 of them. I'm pretty used to it and it's not too bad.

I only have one gecko and have to toss mealies in front of him for him to eat them. I've only noticed him eating from the bowl a handful of times. He hunts down crickets and has a great appetite when the mealies are thrown in front of him, though. Hand feeding is aggravating for me since I do it in the mornings while getting ready for work but I want to be sure he's eating.
