I have been searching online with little luck looking for Flagyl or I think it is called Baytril.. (not sure on that one) to administer orally to one of my guys that I am pretty sure caught a bacterial infection indirectly from another.. (i.e. feeding tongs) does anyone know a good site to buy from? I can only find tablets for dogs and cats.. I can take him to the vet but he only poos every 3 days or so and has not eaten by himself in about 3 weeks. He just shed for the first time in the month so he hasnt lost a drastic amount of weight (he is too frisky to stay on the scale, I need a larger tray)

Flagyl is a dewormer. Batryl is an atibiotic. Are you looking for both of them? Most of the time, the dewormer used is Panacur. Flagyl is usually administered when there is a positive fecal for flagelettes, which would have symptoms like frequent, runny and sometimes bloody poop.
Panacur can be picked up at any livestock feed store, but you'd need to contact the vet about proper dosage amount.

And because I'm a dork and forgot to answer the rest of your question:
Talk to your vet about Batryl, also, as some bacterial infections are resistant to Batryl treatment.

Thank you for your help. When my baby gecko showed symptoms of being ill I took him to the vet. He did a smear test and was unsure what type of bacteria it was so he prescribed both meds I mentioned to "be safe" and if my Popcorn caught the infection from my baby blizzard then I thought it would be best to use both for him also. The baby weighed 8 grams so I could use his weight and dosage as a guide... I bought an appetite stimulant and I have disenfected his cage and have been monitoring his temps.. if things digress I will just take him in for a visit also...

Sometimes picking up the proper diagnosis can be a real pain. One of my ball python girls battled a respitory infection for 3 years before the correct antibiotic treatment was found. Turns out it was a pseudomonas bacterial infection. Once the right antibiotic was found, she was cured in a week.

Best of luck with your little ones! I hope they both get better soon. :)
