Hi.
I have leos for an year and i gave them all types of live food available in the market(in Portugal). I have a couple and each one has its preferences on insects. My male loves wax worms and i also give him crickets and dubias. The female on the other end loves crikets and dubias and doenst care for other insects. They both ignore phoenix worms, mealworms and superworms. Recently i bought pachnodas and i'm raising them so i can give the worms has food. In spain and the UK they usually use them so i wanted to give it a try.
My next step was to find other kind of insects to feed my gecko. I know they eat silk worms and i was also thinking of praying mantis. I know they can eat them but is it really a good source of food? And what species are the best to feed?
Thanks.

Hmm.. ok.
I didn´t mean on a daily basis but occasionally. I'll still use mainly the dubias and the crickets. I just want to know if it won't arm my geckos or something.
Thanks.

They eat hornworms, butterworms and locusts, if you can get 'em. Mine seems to clearly prefer larger prey over smaller, and he'll snarf down something fatty and yummy like a butterworm even if it hardly moves.
