So finally it happened. After taking a few weeks and getting all of the pieces of the terrarium together, and making sure the temperatures were right, we finally brought home our new Leos. :D

I have to save up for some extension tubes for my SLR since I cannot afford a proper macro lens at this time, but here is a shot I was able to take.

Also....

Here is their home... Warm hide, cool hide, humid hide in the center(slight right), calcium dish, mealworm dish, and water tower/dish.

Now if someone could be so kind to help me ID the one with the reddish brown patterns(looks like maybe some yellow starting to come through). I was thinking murphy's but I'm no expert for certain.

I assume the yellow/black/white stripe one will be a high yellow?

Very cute little babies! The one with the pearly pattern is a Murphy Patternless and will be a light-yellow patternless gecko with a white tail as an adult. The other one is a Normal (= High Yellow) or Tangerine and might develop a carrot tail when older.

They have a really nice, clean home! :main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup: Just wait until they splash around in their calcium, heehee :p

Let's just hope you don't have two males... The Patternless will be old enough soon to tell. Just look under its tail. The other one will become sexable in about three months.

Welcome to the gecko world!!! Make sure to post more pics as they grow :main_yes:

Thanks, and yes I most certainly will be checking to be sure we don't have 2 males. HAHA but if I do, that means I get to purchase ANOTHER terrarium and supplies, which will make me happy (I'm a guy who loves to shop, what can I say) and my wife will surely complain LOL.

Also it seems like my hunch was correct about the Murphy's, I can't wait to see how they both turn out.

Some updated photos.

A VERY VERY VERY generous friend let me borrow his 100MM Macro so I was able to take some better photos.

My son has named this one Hockey.
