We were really late on getting started with the Mack Snows. So.. its exciting for us to at least have some hatchlings from our Macks. We will have some Mack Snow/Super Snow Combos a little later this year.. Anyways.. Here is a picture of the Dad of the above babies.

nice babes and i love the dad. i have a question. do you use paper towel as an egg incubation substrate because the egg is on the paper towel. but then i see vercermulite?

Thank you all very much for the compliments. The Dad is just a Snow. We incubate in Vermiculite. There is just a little vermiculite in the picture because it stuck to one of the eggs.

yea, and as to WHY we have their egg in the box with them, its a quick way to identify whos-who when you have 8 hatchlings in the same box, pop out on the same day. just pull the egg out with the babies, and then when we go through later and make out the p-touch tag we can type all the correct info in

(egg #) [dad] x [mom] Laid x-xx-xxxx Hatch x-xx-xxxx [description] x.xg

after that, we pull the eggs out and put them into a jar, its just initial indentification for OUR records....

Other great news! we had some "odd" looking albinos hatch out from our Raptor X snow het tremper, they're lighter in color then the usual carrot head/hybino-ish hatchlings we get from RAPTOR x super hypo het tremper pairings.

albino snows? i have no idea... Ill post pics later today, and you guys can be the judge :p
