So we got her at approx 9 mos old, in Feb 2011, but not sure since i'm a new reptile owner, of what "kind" of albino leopard gecko she may be. Anyone?? :D

Lookin' good. Yeah, she's a Tremper. Her father was a giant, so there's a possibility that she is, but I don't think so. I'm glad to see she's doing well, and you'll find lots of help on here. :)

ohhh, calcium sand.... hotly debated amongst gecko owners, but generally calci-sand is a bad idea. it's thought that they actually will ingest more of that sand due to the fact that it has calcium in it. i always suggest paper towels or tiles. leopard geckos habitat isn't actually the desert that we think, but more like rocky scrublands. very nice looking tremper albino though.

It is:/ and a risk most people rather not take. In my POV its not a matter of "mines been on it for this long and no issues" its a matter of it could very well happen regardless of time. Also..A rescue i took in was kept on sand. I thought she had MBD coz she had odd joints. Vet said its coz she was on sand that was very loose which she must have had to lay in oddly which caused the deformities:/ It looks "neat" having funky sand but honestly its a risk most people will soon come to realize is crap. Coz like you said. Its not natural
